3-day training on familiarisation of CCTNS project



Aizawl, Jul 11: Inauguration function for 3-dayS training course on familiarization of CCTNS project for all SDPOs and dedicated district  and coordinators was held at SCRB training hall, SP Aizawl building today. Zosangliana, SP CID, crime inaugurated the training.
Crime And Criminal Tracking Network And System (CCTNS) is a mission mode project  under National e-governance Development Plan (NEGP). This project aims to improve difference activities of police stations through information technology.  Mizoram CCTNS was started from 2012. Under this project, 39 police stations and 52 higher office are connected through network system. Core Application Software (CAS) is installed in every police station for different works of police.
With this software, police can perform all paper works in computer and data record in police station can be collected and stored in state data centre and will able to search data records easily.
All the data collected and stored in different state data centres are transferred and stored to national data Centre of Pune, Hyderabad and Delhi.
This project will help the Police department in investigation process, searching file and different cases. All respective police stations will look after the data entry and CCTNS in Mizoram. Mizoram police have appointed district coordinator to look after the activities of CCTNS and smooth run of this project.  District SDPOs are alert and trained for this project. Training on “familiarization on CCTNS project for SDPOs and district coordinators”, is organized for this purpose at SCRB Training Centre, Aizawl SP office. There are 20 trainees in one batch and duration for training is three days. Members from SCRB and CID Crime, Cyber Cell imparted training.  The Mizoram police department tries to make all police station a paper-less station.  Police department is planning to organize more training on CCTNS in future.
