Command) Shri Nasir Kamal (IPS) visited Indo-Bangladesh border under BSF Sector Aizawl,
Mizoram from 06-07 th July’ 2018.
The Addl DG BSF was received by Sh C D Aggarwal, Deputy
Inspector General, Sector
Headquarter BSF Aizawl (Mizoram).
During the visit he was given a detailed presentation on
operational and
administrative aspects in Indo-Bangladesh border under
Mizoram Sector by Sh C D
Aggarwal, DIG SHQ BSF Aizawl (Mizoram). The progress of
border fencing work, border
road and Composite Border Out Post construction was briefed.
Shri Kamal visited the
border areas of Lawngtlai and Lunglei Dist. of BOPs
Vaseitlang, BOP Parva of 61 BN BSF and
BOP Demagiri of 159 Bn BSF, where he addressed the troops of
the Battalions and the
border civil population living in the border areas. He was
also briefed about the unfenced
border, riverine international border, the air-maintained
BOPs and the border domination
on extreme difficult condition by the BSF troops.
During his border visit he interacted with Officers and
Jawans and appreciated the
hard work done by the troops in their endeavours in guarding
the International border
despites difficulties being faced. He also addressed the
issues concerning operational as well
as administration of the men. He also mentioned that BSF is
in the process of adopting new
and latest technology for effective domination of
Indo-Bangladesh Border.
